Michael Jackson is expected to top the Pop Catalog album chart on Wednesday after three of his albums became bestsellers again after his death last week.
Nielsen SoundScan's latest sales numbers won't be released until Wednesday morning, but industry experts indicate he'll claim the top three spots on the Billboard countdown with hit compilations Number Ones and The Essential Michael Jackson and his blockbuster Thriller, which remains the bestselling album of all time.
Each album has sold more than 100,000 copies in the past week.
Jackson's entire catalogue of solo albums sold 10,000 the week before.
Other Jackson albums Off the Wall, Bad, Dangerous and box set The Ultimate Collection are also expected to chart high on Wednesday.
The Pop Catalog chart features albums that are at least 18 months old. Catalog albums are ineligible to appear on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
